India Must Watch Out for Santner, Rachin & Conway in Final: Rayudu
The upcoming Champions Trophy 2025 final between India and New Zealand is just around the corner, and former India cricketer Ambati Rayudu has already sounded a warning for the Men in Blue. Rayudu, a 39-year-old veteran of the game, has identified three Kiwi players who he believes India should “watch out” for in the crucial match.
Mitchell Santner, Rachin Ravindra, and Devon Conway are the three players who Rayudu has highlighted as potential threats for India. In an exclusive interview, Rayudu spoke about Santner’s spin prowess in the middle overs, Ravindra’s aggressive batting at the top, and Conway’s ability to surprise opponents.
“India should definitely watch out for Santner’s spin in the middle overs,” Rayudu said. “He’s a very crafty bowler who can pick up wickets at any time. He’s got a lot of experience, and he’s been doing well in recent times. He’s someone who can trouble Indian batsmen, especially in the middle overs.”
Rayudu also praised Ravindra’s aggressive batting style, saying that the 22-year-old left-hander has the potential to cause problems for Indian bowlers. “Ravindra is a very talented batsman who can play aggressively,” Rayudu said. “He’s got a lot of power and can clear the boundaries easily. If he gets going, it can be difficult for Indian bowlers to contain him.”
As for Conway, Rayudu believes that the 32-year-old opener is a “dark horse” who can cause an upset for India. “Conway is someone who can surprise you,” Rayudu said. “He’s a very good player who has been doing well in recent times. He’s got a lot of experience, and he knows how to play big games. If India underestimate him, they might be in for a shock.”
Rayudu’s warnings come at a time when India is looking to win its first-ever Champions Trophy title. The team has been on a roll, winning its last five matches in the tournament, including a thrilling semifinal win over Pakistan. However, Rayudu believes that New Zealand is a strong opponent that cannot be taken lightly.
“New Zealand is a very good team that has been doing well in recent times,” Rayudu said. “They’ve got a lot of experience, and they know how to play big games. They’ve got a strong bowling attack, and their batsmen are all in good form. India will need to be at its best to beat them.”
The Champions Trophy 2025 final is scheduled to take place on Sunday in Dubai, and it promises to be a thrilling contest between two of the best teams in the world. India will need to be aware of the threats posed by Santner, Ravindra, and Conway if they want to lift the coveted trophy.
As the final approaches, fans of both teams are eagerly waiting to see which team will come out on top. Will India’s batting lineup be able to handle the Kiwi bowlers, or will New Zealand’s spinners be able to cause problems for the Indian top order? Whatever the outcome, one thing is certain – it will be a thrilling contest that will keep fans on the edge of their seats.
