Woman who killed husband tampered with his prescription to drug him: Report
In a shocking case of murder, a woman in Meerut, India, has been accused of killing her husband with the help of her lover by tampering with his prescription to drug him. Muskan Rastogi, the accused, purchased sleeping pills using her husband’s prescription, and later, along with her lover Sahil Shukla, stabbed her husband Saurabh Rajput to death after he lost consciousness.
The gruesome murder took place on November 15, 2022, and the investigation revealed a cold-blooded plot to eliminate Saurabh. As reported by NDTV, Muskan and Sahil were arrested on November 19, 2022, and are currently in police custody.
According to the police investigation, Saurabh, 25, was in a troubled marriage with Muskan, 23, and had been complaining about her behavior to his family and friends. On the fateful day of the murder, Muskan gave Saurabh the sleeping pills, which he consumed unknowingly. After he lost consciousness, Muskan and Sahil, who was waiting outside, stabbed him multiple times, leading to his death.
The police investigation revealed that Muskan had purchased the sleeping pills from a local medical store in Meerut. The store’s proprietor, Rajesh Kumar, was raided by the police, and he confessed to selling the pills to Muskan. The police also found the prescription slip, which was allegedly tampered with by Muskan.
The police were shocked to discover that Muskan had planned the murder with Sahil, who was her lover. Sahil had allegedly convinced Muskan to kill Saurabh, promising to take care of her and her family. The police believe that Muskan was motivated by a desire to be with Sahil and get rid of her husband.
The Meerut police have been praised for their swift action in solving the case. Superintendent of Police (Rural) Alok Priyaranjan said in a statement, “We had received a complaint from Saurabh’s family about his disappearance. We launched a search operation and arrested Muskan and Sahil within four days. The investigation revealed a shocking case of murder, and we are working to gather more evidence to ensure that the perpetrators are punished.”
The case has sent shockwaves across the country, with many expressing outrage at Muskan’s brutality. The Meerut police have registered a case of murder against Muskan and Sahil, and they are currently being held in police custody.
The incident highlights the dangers of domestic violence and the need for women to seek help and support in such situations. It also emphasizes the importance of proper investigation and forensic evidence in solving crimes.
As the investigation continues, the Meerut police are working to build a strong case against Muskan and Sahil. The accused are currently being questioned by the police, and it is expected that they will face severe punishment if found guilty.
