
Meghalaya CM Urges Youth to Solve Problems Using Science & Tech
On the occasion of National Science Day 2025, Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma emphasized the importance of using science and technology to tackle real-world problems. He encouraged the youth to be innovative and solution-oriented, urging them to take advantage of the vast opportunities available in the field of science and technology.
Speaking at the event, the Chief Minister highlighted the need to invest in young minds, support innovations, and increase prize money for competitions. He mentioned that the state has allocated ₹18 crore to support 3,000 artists through the Meghalaya Government Music and Performing Arts (MGMP) initiative. This initiative aims to preserve and promote the rich cultural heritage of Meghalaya through music, dance, and other performing arts.
