The house where the bus crashed belongs to Puttappa Poojary, a local resident who was not at home at the time of the accident. The family was away for the day, and the house was empty when the bus crashed into it. The family has expressed gratitude that no one was at home at the time of the accident, or else the consequences would have been even more devastating.

The administration has also ordered a probe into the condition of the road where the accident occurred and has promised to take steps to improve road safety in the region.
