Teerth Gopicon Signs MoU of ₹1,500 Crore & Bags Order from JVVNL
India’s renewable energy sector has been witnessing significant growth in recent years, driven by the government’s initiatives to reduce carbon footprint and promote clean energy. In a major development, Teerth Gopicon Limited (TGL) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Government of Madhya Pradesh’s Renewable Energy Department to invest ₹1,500 crore in a 6 GW solar manufacturing project. This ambitious project aims to establish a state-of-the-art solar manufacturing facility, with a capacity to produce 3 GW of solar modules and 3 GW of solar cells.
This MoU is a significant milestone for TGL, marking a major step towards its vision of becoming a leading player in the Indian solar industry. The project, which is expected to create thousands of jobs and stimulate local economic growth, is expected to be completed within the next 24-30 months.
In addition to this MoU, TGL has also received an order from Jaipur Vidyut Vitaran Nigam Limited (JVVNL) for 6.89 MW of grid-connected solar plants under the Pradhan Mantri Kusum (PM-KUSUM) Scheme. This RESCO (Renewable Energy Service Company) mode project will be implemented across four locations in Rajasthan, and includes a 25-year operation and maintenance (O&M) period.
The PM-KUSUM Scheme is an initiative of the Government of India to promote the adoption of solar energy in rural areas. The scheme aims to provide financial support to farmers, agricultural producers, and rural households to install solar power systems for their energy needs. The scheme also aims to promote the development of solar manufacturing capacity in the country.
The order from JVVNL is a significant achievement for TGL, as it demonstrates the company’s capabilities in implementing large-scale solar projects. The company’s expertise in designing, developing, and maintaining solar power plants will be leveraged to ensure the successful implementation of this project.
The 6.89 MW solar project will be implemented in four locations in Rajasthan, with a total installed capacity of 6.89 MW. The project will be designed and developed by TGL, and will include the supply, installation, and commissioning of solar panels, inverters, and other equipment. The project will also include the construction of transmission lines and substations to connect the solar power plants to the grid.
The project will generate clean energy and reduce carbon emissions, contributing to a cleaner and greener environment. The project will also create employment opportunities and stimulate local economic growth, benefiting the rural communities in Rajasthan.
Teerth Gopicon Limited’s vision is to become a leading player in the Indian solar industry, and this MoU and order from JVVNL are significant steps towards achieving that vision. The company’s focus on innovation, quality, and customer satisfaction has enabled it to establish itself as a reliable and trusted partner for solar energy projects.
The company’s expertise in designing, developing, and maintaining solar power plants has enabled it to deliver high-quality projects that meet the requirements of its clients. TGL’s commitment to sustainability and environmental responsibility has also enabled it to develop projects that benefit the local communities and contribute to a cleaner environment.
In conclusion, Teerth Gopicon Limited’s signing of the MoU with the Government of Madhya Pradesh’s Renewable Energy Department and its receipt of the order from JVVNL are significant milestones for the company. These developments demonstrate TGL’s commitment to the Indian solar industry and its vision of becoming a leading player in the sector. With its expertise in solar manufacturing, project development, and O&M, TGL is well-positioned to achieve its goals and contribute to the growth of the Indian solar industry.
