Teerth Gopicon Signs MoU of ₹1,500 Crore & Bags Order from JVVNL
In a significant development for the renewable energy sector, Teerth Gopicon Limited (TGL) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Government of Madhya Pradesh’s Renewable Energy Department to invest ₹1,500 crore in a massive 6 GW solar manufacturing project. The project includes setting up of 3 GW modules and 3 GW cells manufacturing facility. This monumental project is expected to boost India’s solar energy production and reduce the country’s dependence on fossil fuels.
In addition to the MoU, TGL has also bagged an order from Jaipur Vidyut Vitaran Nigam Limited (JVVNL) for 6.89 MW of grid-connected solar plants under the Prime Minister’s KUSUM (Kushal Urja Swarajya Uttar Pradesh) scheme. This RESCO (Renewable Energy Service Company) mode project will be implemented across four locations in Rajasthan and will have a 25-year operation and maintenance (O&M) period.
The project is expected to generate significant employment opportunities and contribute to the local economy. The manufacturing facility will be set up in Madhya Pradesh, which will give a boost to the state’s industrial growth and create new opportunities for growth and development.
The 6 GW solar manufacturing project is significant as it will help India to reduce its dependence on imported solar panels and modules. The country has been facing challenges in meeting its solar energy requirements due to a lack of indigenous manufacturing capacity. The project will not only reduce India’s reliance on imports but also help to create a domestic supply chain for solar energy equipment.
The Prime Minister’s KUSUM scheme is an initiative to promote solar energy adoption in the country. The scheme aims to provide financial assistance to farmers and rural households to install solar panels on their rooftops and connect them to the grid. The scheme also aims to promote solar power generation in the country and reduce the country’s dependence on fossil fuels.
The RESCO mode project with JVVNL is a significant milestone for TGL as it marks the company’s entry into the solar power generation segment. The project will help the company to expand its presence in the renewable energy sector and contribute to the country’s efforts to reduce its carbon footprint.
Teerth Gopicon Limited is a leading solar energy equipment manufacturer and has been at the forefront of the country’s renewable energy revolution. The company has established itself as a reliable and efficient manufacturer of solar energy equipment and has a strong presence in the Indian market.
The company’s decision to invest ₹1,500 crore in the 6 GW solar manufacturing project is a testament to its commitment to the renewable energy sector. The project is expected to generate significant employment opportunities and contribute to the local economy.
In conclusion, Teerth Gopicon’s signing of the MoU with the Government of Madhya Pradesh’s Renewable Energy Department and its bagging of the order from JVVNL are significant developments for the renewable energy sector. The project will help India to reduce its dependence on imported solar panels and modules and promote solar energy adoption in the country.
