Teerth Gopicon Signs MoU of ₹1,500 crore & Bags Order from JVVNL
In a significant development for the renewable energy sector, Teerth Gopicon Limited (TGL) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Government of Madhya Pradesh’s Renewable Energy Department to invest ₹1,500 crore in a massive 6 GW solar manufacturing project. The project will be divided into two segments – 3 GW modules and 3 GW cells. This monumental investment is expected to bolster the country’s clean energy goals and create a significant impact on the solar industry.
The MoU was signed in the presence of senior officials from the Government of Madhya Pradesh and TGL, marking a significant milestone in the company’s journey to become a leading player in the solar sector. The project is expected to generate employment opportunities for thousands of people and contribute to the overall economic growth of the region.
In addition to the MoU, TGL has also received an order from Jaipur Vidyut Vitaran Nigam Limited (JVVNL) for the development of 6.89 MW of grid-connected solar plants under the Pradhan Mantri Kusum Yojana (PM-KUSUM) scheme. This RESCO (Renewable Energy Services Company) mode project will be executed across four locations in Rajasthan and will involve a 25-year operation and maintenance (O&M) period.
The PM-KUSUM scheme aims to promote the development of solar power in rural areas by providing financial incentives to farmers and other stakeholders. The scheme is designed to promote the use of solar energy for irrigation and other non-potable purposes, reducing the dependence on grid power and promoting energy sustainability.
The order from JVVNL is a significant achievement for TGL, marking its entry into the renewable energy sector. The project is expected to generate clean energy, reduce carbon emissions, and contribute to the overall energy security of the region.
TGL’s solar manufacturing project, which is expected to be operational in the next few years, will be a significant boost to the company’s growth plans. The project will not only create employment opportunities but also generate revenue for the company, making it one of the most prominent players in the solar sector.
The Government of Madhya Pradesh’s decision to partner with TGL for the solar manufacturing project is a significant step towards promoting renewable energy in the state. The project is expected to create a ripple effect in the solar industry, encouraging other companies to invest in the sector and contribute to the country’s clean energy goals.
In a statement, a senior official from TGL said, “We are thrilled to have signed the MoU with the Government of Madhya Pradesh and received the order from JVVNL. This is a significant milestone in our journey to become a leading player in the solar sector. We are committed to promoting renewable energy and contributing to the country’s clean energy goals.”
The company’s entry into the renewable energy sector is expected to have a positive impact on the overall economy, creating employment opportunities and generating revenue for the company. The project is also expected to contribute to the overall energy security of the region, reducing dependence on grid power and promoting energy sustainability.
In conclusion, TGL’s signing of the MoU with the Government of Madhya Pradesh and receiving the order from JVVNL is a significant achievement for the company. The project is expected to create employment opportunities, generate revenue, and contribute to the overall energy security of the region. As the company continues to grow and expand its presence in the solar sector, it is expected to play a significant role in promoting renewable energy and contributing to the country’s clean energy goals.
