Goons mobbed, threatened him & my son: Ayesha as husband booked over fight in Goa
Actress Ayesha Takia Azmi has spoken out about the harrowing experience her family went through recently in Goa. Her husband, Farhan Azmi, who is the son of Maharashtra MLA Abu Azmi, was booked by the Goa police over a fight with locals in the state. Ayesha has described the incident as a “night of horror” and has accused the local goons of brutally bullying and threatening her husband and son.
In an interview, Ayesha revealed that the incident occurred when Farhan and his friends were at a beachside shack in Goa, enjoying a night out. However, things took a turn for the worse when a group of locals began to harass them. “It was a night of horror. Goan goons mobbed, threatened and tormented them for hours,” Ayesha said.
According to Ayesha, Farhan called the police for help, but the situation only got worse. “My husband and son were brutally bullied…Goan goons mobbed, threatened and tormented them for hours. They were almost 150 people,” she added.
The actress has been vocal about her outrage over the incident, stating that her family was subjected to inhumane treatment. “It was unbelievable. We can’t even imagine that something like this could happen in a tourist state like Goa,” she said.
Ayesha has also expressed her disappointment with the way the authorities handled the situation. “The police took a long time to arrive, and even when they did, they didn’t take immediate action. They just stood there and watched,” she added.
The incident has left Ayesha shaken, and she has appealed to the authorities to take immediate action to prevent such incidents from happening in the future. “We want the Goa government to take immediate action and ensure that such incidents don’t happen again. We want justice for my son and husband,” she said.
The Goa police have booked Farhan Azmi under various sections of the Indian Penal Code, including section 341 (punishment for wrongful restraint), section 323 (punishment for voluntarily causing hurt), and section 34 (acts done by several persons in furtherance of common intention).
The incident has sparked outrage on social media, with many calling for action to be taken against the perpetrators. The Goa government has also promised to take steps to ensure that such incidents do not happen again.
Ayesha’s account of the incident has shed light on the darker side of Goa’s tourist industry, where visitors are often subjected to harassment and violence. The incident has also highlighted the need for the authorities to take immediate action to ensure the safety and security of tourists.
As Ayesha said, “We want the Goa government to take immediate action and ensure that such incidents don’t happen again. We want justice for my son and husband.” The incident serves as a reminder that even in popular tourist destinations like Goa, safety and security are a major concern.
