I Celebrate My B’day Alone, Cut a Cake & Drink After 8 pm: Sunita
Birthdays are a time for celebration, and what’s more exciting than sharing the joy with friends and family? Not for Sunita, wife of Bollywood actor Govinda, it seems. In a recent interview, Sunita revealed that she loves to celebrate her birthday alone, and her unique way of doing so is quite intriguing.
When asked about her birthday traditions, Sunita shared, “I go out alone…every birthday…Sometimes, I go to a temple. As soon as the clock strikes 8, I cut a cake, open a bottle, and drink it alone.” It’s not every day that you hear someone celebrating their birthday with a solo trip to the temple, followed by a cake-cutting ceremony and a drink (or two) at 8 pm!
Sunita’s husband, Govinda, is a well-known actor in the Bollywood industry, having starred in numerous hit films like “Hero No. 1,” “Bade Miyan Chote Miyan,” and “Masthayi Singh.” The couple has been together for many years and has two children, Yash and Yuvika.
Sunita’s fondness for celebrating her birthday alone might seem unusual to some, but she insists that she keeps her celebrations “balanced” by doing puja (a Hindu ritual) and partying. It’s clear that Sunita values her alone time and enjoys the quiet moments to herself on her special day.
In fact, Sunita’s birthday celebrations have become a regular affair, with her friends and family often joining her for the party. “Yash (her son) has started joining me for my birthday celebrations,” she shared. “He’s grown up now and has his own friends, so we all party together. It’s a lot of fun!”
Sunita’s love for drinking is well-known, and she often shares her favorite cocktails and drinks on social media. “I drink whenever I’m happy,” she said in the interview. “I don’t believe in celebrating birthdays with a big party. I like to keep it simple and quiet.” It’s refreshing to hear someone who doesn’t feel the need to go overboard with their birthday celebrations.
In fact, Sunita’s approach to celebrating her birthday is quite unique and refreshing. She’s not afraid to do things her own way and doesn’t feel pressured to follow traditional norms. Her focus on self-care and quiet moments is inspiring, especially in a world where birthdays are often celebrated with loud parties and grandeur.
As Sunita so eloquently put it, “I believe in living life on my own terms. I don’t believe in following the crowd or doing things that don’t make me happy. Life is too short to waste it on things that don’t bring you joy.”
Sunita’s story is a reminder that it’s okay to do things differently and that self-care is essential, especially on special occasions like birthdays. By celebrating her birthday alone and doing things her own way, Sunita is setting a beautiful example for her children and inspiring others to do the same.
