Axis My India, CNX, and Today’s Chanakya Exit Polls Predict BJP Win in Delhi Polls
The Delhi Assembly elections 2020 are finally over, and the results are expected to be declared soon. In a significant development, three prominent exit polls have predicted a victory for the Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) in the Delhi polls, with Axis My India predicting 45-55 seats for the party, while CNX and Today’s Chanakya have also forecasted a comfortable win for the BJP.
According to the exit polls, the BJP is likely to return to power in Delhi after 27 years, with a significant majority. Axis My India, a well-known exit poll agency, has predicted that the BJP will win 45-55 out of 70 Delhi Assembly seats, while the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) is expected to win 15-25 seats. The Congress party is predicted to win only 0-1 seat in the elections.
Today’s Chanakya, another prominent exit poll agency, has also predicted a comfortable win for the BJP, with the party expected to win around 51 seats, while the AAP is expected to win around 19 seats. CNX, a Delhi-based exit poll agency, has predicted 49-61 seats for the BJP, while the AAP is expected to win 10-19 seats.
These predictions suggest that the BJP is likely to return to power in Delhi, ending the AAP’s 20-month rule in the city. The AAP, which had won 67 seats in the 2015 Delhi Assembly elections, is expected to lose significant ground in these elections.
The exit polls were conducted based on surveys of over 10,000 voters across 11,000 households in Delhi. The respondents were asked about their voting intentions, and the results were then analyzed to predict the outcome of the elections.
The BJP, which had been out of power in Delhi for 27 years, had been trying to make a comeback in the city. The party had launched a high-profile campaign, with Prime Minister Narendra Modi and other top leaders campaigning extensively in Delhi.
The AAP, on the other hand, had been facing criticism for its governance in Delhi, with many residents complaining about issues such as pollution, unemployment, and law and order. The party’s leader, Arvind Kejriwal, had been accused of being out of touch with the people of Delhi and failing to address their concerns.
The Congress party, which had been a dominant force in Delhi politics for decades, had been struggling to regain its lost ground in the city. The party had won only 8 seats in the 2015 Delhi Assembly elections, and was expected to perform poorly in these elections as well.
The results of the exit polls are significant not just for the Delhi Assembly elections, but also for the broader political landscape of the country. The BJP’s victory in Delhi would be seen as a major boost for the party’s national ambitions, while the AAP’s loss would be a significant setback for the party’s plans to expand its base beyond Delhi.
The results of the Delhi Assembly elections are expected to be declared on February 11, 2020. The exit polls, however, suggest that the BJP is likely to emerge as the clear winner in the elections, with a significant majority in the Delhi Assembly.
