The Jammu and Kashmir Police have made a daring rescue operation to bring back 13 youths who were duped by a cyber job scam and trafficked to Myanmar. The youths, aged between 18 and 25, were lured by fake job ads on social media, promising them work abroad. The police acted swiftly to rescue the youths and bring them back to their homes in Jammu and Kashmir.
According to the police, the youths were contacted by the scammers on social media platforms, who promised them lucrative jobs in Thailand. They were convinced to pay a hefty sum of money to the scammers and eventually left for Thailand. However, upon reaching Thailand, they were taken to Myanmar, where they were forced to work under inhuman conditions.
The police were tipped off about the fake job racket and launched a massive operation to rescue the youths. A team of police officials, led by the Inspector General of Police (IGP) of Jammu Zone, was sent to Myanmar to track down the youths and bring them back to India.
The police officials worked tirelessly to locate the youths, who were being held captive in a remote area of Myanmar. After several hours of negotiation with the traffickers, the police were able to rescue the youths and bring them back to the Indian border.
The rescued youths were taken to a safe location, where they were provided with food, clothing, and medical assistance. They were also given counseling to deal with the trauma and psychological distress caused by their ordeal.
The police have registered a case against the scammers and are investigating the matter further. The officials have also launched a campaign to create awareness among the youth about the dangers of online job scams and the importance of verifying the authenticity of job offers before paying any money.
The rescue operation was a major success for the Jammu and Kashmir Police, who have been working tirelessly to combat the menace of cybercrime in the state. The police have been conducting regular awareness camps and workshops to educate the youth about the dangers of online fraud and how to stay safe online.
The rescued youths have expressed their gratitude to the police for their bravery and quick thinking in rescuing them. They have also appealed to their fellow youth to be cautious while searching for jobs online and to verify the authenticity of job offers before paying any money.
