Serial Rapist Whose Death Penalty Was Cancelled Rapes & Kills 11-year-old in MP
In a shocking and disturbing incident, a 40-year-old man who had previously been convicted of rape and sentenced to death has allegedly committed another heinous crime. Ramesh, who had spent 10 years in jail for raping a five-year-old in 2003 and was later given death penalty for raping an eight-year-old in 2014, managed to escape after committing the crime and went to the Kumbh Mela, a major Hindu pilgrimage event. However, his freedom was short-lived as he was eventually caught and arrested by the police.
The gruesome crime was committed against an 11-year-old hearing- and speech-impaired girl in Madhya Pradesh, a state in central India. The girl was found dead with signs of rape and murder, leaving the police and the public in shock and outrage.
According to the police, Ramesh committed the crime on February 10, 2023, in a village in Morena district of Madhya Pradesh. The girl, who was unable to communicate with anyone due to her hearing and speech impairment, was found dead in a field by her family members. The police were alerted, and they launched an investigation into the crime.
After conducting forensic tests and gathering evidence, the police identified Ramesh as the prime suspect in the case. He was arrested on February 15, 2023, after being on the run for five days. Ramesh had allegedly escaped from the crime scene and gone to the Kumbh Mela, where he was able to evade detection for several days.
The police said that Ramesh had a history of committing similar crimes. He was first convicted of rape in 2003 when he was 30 years old, and was sentenced to 10 years in jail. However, he managed to secure an early release from prison and was released in 2013.
In 2014, Ramesh was again convicted of rape, this time of an eight-year-old girl, and was sentenced to death. However, his death penalty was cancelled in 2019, and he was instead sentenced to life imprisonment.
The recent crime has sparked outrage and anger among the public, with many calling for harsher punishment for child rapists and murderers. The police have also come under criticism for not being able to prevent the crime, despite Ramesh’s history of committing similar crimes.
The incident has also highlighted the need for better protection and support for children with disabilities, who are often more vulnerable to abuse and exploitation. The girl’s family has demanded justice and compensation for the loss of their loved one.
The police have registered a case under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act and the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and are conducting further investigations into the crime. Ramesh is currently in police custody and is likely to face further charges and penalties for his crimes.
As the nation mourns the loss of the young girl and demands justice for her, the incident serves as a grim reminder of the need for stronger laws and stricter enforcement to protect children from sexual abuse and exploitation.
