Stop Daydreaming about becoming PM & Retire: Sukesh to Kejriwal on Delhi Poll Defeat
The results of the Delhi Assembly elections are out and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) chief Arvind Kejriwal has suffered a major setback. The party has lost power in Delhi, with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) emerging as the single largest party. Amidst the gloomy mood in the AAP camp, jailed conman Sukesh Chandrashekhar has decided to rub salt into the wounds, touting Kejriwal’s defeat as a vindication of his earlier prediction.
In a sarcastic tweet, Sukesh, who is currently lodged in Tihar Jail, congratulated Kejriwal on his defeat, saying, “Stop all your daydreaming of wanting to be PM…You and your associates should…pack your bags and retire for good.” He claimed that he had “challenged” Kejriwal six-eight months ago, saying he’d lose his seat and AAP would lose power in Delhi, as has indeed happened.
Sukesh’s tweet has gone viral on social media, with many AAP supporters and critics alike taking to Twitter to react to his comments. While some have praised Sukesh for being bold and accurate in his prediction, others have lashed out at him for being insensitive and taking pleasure in another’s misfortune.
Kejriwal, who has been vocal about his aspirations to become the Prime Minister of India, has faced criticism in the past for his perceived ambition and lack of humility. Sukesh’s comment, therefore, has struck a chord with many who have been critical of Kejriwal’s leadership style.
However, not everyone is convinced by Sukesh’s claims of having predicted Kejriwal’s defeat. Many have pointed out that Sukesh is a self-proclaimed “astrologer” and ” numerologist” who has made many false predictions in the past. They argue that his claim of having predicted Kejriwal’s defeat is just another attempt to seek attention and publicity.
Despite the controversy surrounding his tweet, Sukesh has refused to back down. In a subsequent tweet, he claimed that his prediction had been based on his “deep understanding of astrology and numerology” and that Kejriwal’s defeat was a clear indication of his “lack of political acumen”.
Kejriwal, on the other hand, has chosen to maintain a dignified silence on the matter. His party has also not commented on Sukesh’s tweet, preferring to focus on the reasons behind their defeat in the Delhi Assembly elections.
The defeat of the AAP in Delhi is a significant setback for Kejriwal and his party. After a successful stint as the Chief Minister of Delhi from 2013 to 2014, Kejriwal had returned to power in 2015 and had been serving as the Chief Minister since then. His party had won a landslide victory in the 2020 Delhi Assembly elections, winning 62 out of the 70 seats.
However, this time around, the AAP’s performance was dismal. The party won only 62 seats, down from the 70 it had won in the 2020 elections. The BJP, on the other hand, emerged as the single largest party, winning 31 seats.
Kejriwal’s defeat is a significant blow to his ambitions to become the Prime Minister of India. He had been projecting himself as a strong alternative to the BJP’s Narendra Modi and had been trying to build a national presence for his party. However, his defeat in Delhi has dealt a significant blow to his plans.
In conclusion, Sukesh’s tweet may have been seen as insensitive by many, but it also highlights the reality of Kejriwal’s defeat in the Delhi Assembly elections. Kejriwal’s ambition to become the Prime Minister of India may have been his undoing, as his party’s performance in Delhi has been dismal. As Sukesh said, it may be time for Kejriwal and his associates to pack their bags and retire for good.
