Drama will continue till tomorrow: Kishan on AAP’s allegations
The political landscape in Delhi is heating up ahead of the upcoming polls, with allegations and counter-allegations flying thick and fast between the BJP and AAP. The latest salvo has been fired by AAP chief Arvind Kejriwal, who accused BJP workers of indulging in hooliganism in the run-up to the elections. However, BJP MP Ravi Kishan has dismissed the allegations, saying that Kejriwal knows his party is losing badly and that’s why he’s resorting to such tactics.
Speaking to a leading news agency, Kishan said, “This drama will continue till tomorrow, the voting day. Only request to delhiites is not to get trapped.” His comments come in response to Kejriwal’s allegations that BJP workers are engaging in violent behavior to intimidate voters and disrupt the poll process.
Kejriwal had made the allegations earlier this week, accusing the BJP of trying to rig the elections and warned that his party would not tolerate any kind of hooliganism. The AAP chief also accused the BJP of trying to buy votes and threatened to take legal action against anyone found involved in such activities.
However, Kishan rejected Kejriwal’s allegations, saying that they were a desperate attempt to distract attention from his party’s own failures. “Arvind Kejriwal knows he is losing badly in these elections. All his leaders are joining the BJP, and he is panicking,” Kishan said. “He is trying to create a diversion by making such allegations, but Delhiites are not buying it.”
Kishan’s comments are unlikely to go down well with the AAP, which has been accusing the BJP of indulging in dirty tricks to gain an unfair advantage in the polls. However, the BJP MP’s remarks are likely to resonate with many Delhiites who are tired of the constant bickering and allegations between the two parties.
The BJP has been on a roll in recent years, with the party winning a string of state elections and the Lok Sabha polls in 2019. The party is confident of repeating its performance in the Delhi polls, which are being seen as a semi-final before the 2024 general elections.
Meanwhile, the AAP has been struggling to regain its footing after a series of setbacks in recent months. The party’s leaders have been accused of corruption and nepotism, and many of its key supporters have defected to the BJP.
Despite the challenges, Kejriwal remains confident of winning the polls. In a series of tweets earlier this week, the AAP chief accused the BJP of trying to steal the elections and warned that his party would not tolerate any kind of hooliganism.
“We will not let the BJP steal the elections in Delhi. We will not let them bully our voters. We will not let them buy the polls,” Kejriwal tweeted.
However, Kishan’s comments suggest that the AAP chief’s warnings may be falling on deaf ears. The BJP MP’s remarks are likely to be seen as a direct challenge to Kejriwal’s allegations, and could further polarize the political atmosphere in Delhi.
As the polls draw near, it remains to be seen how the drama will play out. One thing is certain, however: the political temperature in Delhi will continue to rise until the voting day, and only then will we know who will emerge victorious.
What do you think, dear readers? Do you believe the AAP’s allegations of hooliganism, or is this just a desperate attempt by Kejriwal to distract attention from his party’s failures? Share your thoughts in the comments below!
