Elon Musk is ‘Pure Evil’: Ex-Tesla Engineer & Whistleblower
In a scathing rebuke, a former Tesla engineer turned whistleblower has labelled billionaire Elon Musk “pure evil” after a California judge reopened her dismissed defamation case against Tesla. Cristina Balan, a cancer patient who was fired from Tesla in 2014, has been waging a legal battle against the company’s CEO, claiming that she was wrongfully terminated after raising concerns about a braking issue.
The latest development in the case has given Balan a new lease of life, allowing her to take aim at Musk and Tesla once again. “I started this lawsuit to prove my innocence and how vindictive this monster is,” she said in an interview.
The case against Tesla dates back to 2014, when Balan was working as a quality engineer at the company’s Fremont factory. At the time, she had been noticing a recurring problem with the Model S’s braking system, which she believed was putting the safety of Tesla’s customers at risk. When she reported her concerns to her superiors, she was met with resistance and eventually fired from the company.
Undeterred, Balan decided to take legal action against Tesla, alleging that she was wrongfully terminated and that the company had defamed her by claiming that she was not a credible whistleblower. However, in 2019, a California judge dismissed her case, ruling that Tesla had not made any false statements about her.
But last week, a California judge reopened Balan’s case, allowing her to pursue her defamation claims against Tesla once again. The move has given her new hope and a chance to finally clear her name.
In an interview with the Hindustan Times, Balan spoke out about her experience working at Tesla and her decision to become a whistleblower. “I was a quality engineer, and I was responsible for ensuring that the cars were safe and reliable,” she said. “But when I started to notice the braking issue, I knew I had to act. I reported it to my superiors, but they didn’t take it seriously. They told me that it was just a software issue and that it would be fixed soon.”
Balan claims that she was eventually fired from the company after she continued to raise concerns about the braking issue. “They told me that I was a ‘liability’ and that I was ‘too negative’,” she said. “But I knew that I was right. I was just trying to do my job and ensure that the cars were safe.”
The experience has taken a toll on Balan’s health, and she is currently undergoing treatment for cancer. But she remains determined to see her case through to the end, hoping to expose the truth about Tesla’s treatment of employees and customers.
“I’m not doing this just for myself,” she said. “I’m doing it for all the people who have been affected by Tesla’s actions. I’m doing it for the customers who have been put in danger by their cars. And I’m doing it for the employees who have been silenced and intimidated by the company.”
In response to the renewed allegations, Tesla has maintained that Balan was fired for poor performance and not for raising concerns about the braking issue. The company has also claimed that the braking system was properly tested and that there was no evidence of any safety risks.
But Balan remains adamant that the company is covering up the truth. “They’re just trying to save face,” she said. “They’re trying to avoid accountability and responsibility. But I’m not going to let them get away with it. I’m going to keep fighting until the truth comes out.”
The case against Tesla is a complex one, involving allegations of whistleblower retaliation, defamation, and breach of contract. But for Balan, it’s a matter of principle. She wants to expose the truth about Tesla’s treatment of employees and customers, and she’s willing to fight tooth and nail to do it.
As the case continues to unfold, one thing is clear: Cristina Balan is not going away quietly. She’s a whistleblower who is determined to stand up for what is right, and she’s ready to take on the mighty Elon Musk and Tesla in the process.
